Message	Auto trannies are not as efficient as manual trannies. On a turbo car, the benefits of an auto tranny outweighs the drawbacks because the torque converter allows you to keep your foot on the gas the entire time, keeping your turbos spooled up. On a manual, your turbos spool down a bit after every shift and need to spool back up again. On the highway though, you pretty much are in gear the entire time. Auto TT's are usually faster in the 1/4 mile but slower on the highway.
